Event Details

The RSVP period for this event has now ended.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept any more registrations as the venue occupancy has been filled.

MSU Science Theatre's Halloween Party is a fun and enriching experience for families focused toward 3rd through 5th grade students.  Anyone is welcome to attend free of charge.  Because space is limited, you must RSVP through this website to attend.

The event will take place at MSU's Abrams Planetarium from 5pm-6:30pm on Friday, October 30th.  Doors will close at 6pm.

Activities at the Extravaganza will include:

  • Exciting and spooky science demonstrations
  • A costume contest with prizes
  • Get your picture taken as a mad scientist
  • Trick or treating and free food
  • Free balloon animals

The Extravaganza will be staffed and supervised by Science Theatre volunteers (undergraduate students at Michigan State University).  Please note: at least 1 adult chaperone is required per five children attending.

There is absolutely no cost to attend the event, although a donation of $5 per family would be greatly appreciated (you can give at the door).

Metered parking ($1.50/hour) is available at the Shaw ramp adjacent to the Planetarium.  Here is a campus map highlighting the parking ramp: http://maps.msu.edu/interactive/index.php?location=Z9BQ
